Dear Parents,

We continued our apple unit this week by making apple shaped picture frames. First the children water colored the frames, added some glitter glue, and apple stickers. The results were spectacular!

The children had so much fun making apple muffins. We baked them in the Baby Cake maker.  We frosted them, added a pretzel stick for the apple stem, and an edible leaf.  Mmm, were they good!

We finished the week off with a math activity.  In this activity, the children learned counting, comparing, and contrasting.  They counted out Unifix cubes, put them together and then lined them up in rows.  Each row of cubes represented a family member.  The children then traced them onto paper and then added faces and arms.  We then had discussion about who was the tallest person in their family and who was the shortest person in their family.

Love,

Ms.  Bonne and
Ms.  Barbara

Note:  Please send your child to school dressed in layers since the weather is unpredictable at this time of the year.
