We had a "beary" good week. We enjoyed bringing our teddy bears to class and taking them to the "Teddy Bear Hospital". Some of them had ear aches, broken legs, and others had their annual physicals. We used our language skills to get a complete medical history on our bears. We put a splint on a bear with a broken leg and administered shots to sick bears. One bear had an accident and got completely covered with bandages.

The children listened to Goldilocks and the Three Bears and then did their own performance with their teddy bears.
The children had so much fun making doctor/nurse bags. They also made bears by tracing stencils, cutting them out, water-coloring them, and adding facial features. We conclude our unit by making delicious teddy bear cookies.

Note: We will be having an indoor beach party (for children only) in class on Thursday, There will be a sign-up sheet out side our classroom for anyone that would like to contribute food for our party.
